Dear Assyrians Worldwide,
Following our previous announcement regarding the upcoming elections of the Assyrian Parliament, we are pleased to announce that candidate registration is now officially open.
As preparations continue for the First Annual Assyrian Parliament Conference, to be held in Jönköping, Sweden, from 25–27 September 2026, the Assyrian Parliament invites eligible Assyrians from across our homeland and the global diaspora to submit their candidacy and participate in the continued democratic development of our institution.
The deadline for candidate registration is 1 September 2026.
The online election process will take place in mid-September 2026 through the official Assyrian Parliament website.
The purpose of this year’s election is to expand the membership of the Assyrian Parliament by electing additional representatives who will serve alongside the members elected in 2025. Together, they will strengthen the Parliament’s work, broaden its international representation, and contribute to the continued development of the institution and its mission on behalf of the Assyrian nation.
Candidate Eligibility
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements established by the Assyrian Parliament Bylaws and Election Rules, including:
- Identify as Assyrian and have Assyrian ancestry.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Accept the Assyrian Parliament Bylaws and Election Rules.
- Fulfil all requirements established by the Election Committee.
How to Register
Candidates should submit their application by email to:

The application must include:
- Full name
- Country and city of residence
- Email address and telephone number
- Recent photograph
- Short biography
- Motivation for seeking election
- Professional and community experience
- A declaration confirming that the candidate meets the eligibility requirements of the Assyrian Parliament Bylaws
The Election Committee reserves the right to request additional information or documentation where necessary to verify eligibility.
We encourage qualified Assyrians from all parts of our homeland and the global diaspora to consider serving our nation through the Assyrian Parliament and contributing to the continued development of a representative and democratic institution.

ستُجرى الانتخابات الإلكترونية في منتصف شهر سبتمبر/أيلول 2026 عبر الموقع الرسمي للبرلمان الآشوري.
وتهدف انتخابات هذا العام إلى توسيع عضوية البرلمان الآشوري من خلال انتخاب ممثلين إضافيين يعملون جنبًا إلى جنب مع الأعضاء الذين انتُخبوا في عام 2025. وسيعمل جميع الأعضاء معًا على تعزيز عمل البرلمان، وتوسيع نطاق تمثيله الدولي، والمساهمة في مواصلة تطوير المؤسسة ورسالتها في خدمة الأمة الآشورية.
شروط الترشح
يجب أن يستوفي المرشحون شروط الأهلية المنصوص عليها في النظام الداخلي للبرلمان الآشوري وقواعد الانتخابات، بما في ذلك:
- أن يكون المتقدم آشوريًا ومن أصول آشورية.
- ألا يقل عمره عن 18 عامًا.
- أن يقبل بالنظام الداخلي للبرلمان الآشوري وقواعد الانتخابات.
- أن يستوفي جميع المتطلبات التي تحددها لجنة الانتخابات.
كيفية التسجيل
يُرجى إرسال طلب الترشح عبر البريد الإلكتروني إلى:

ويجب أن يتضمن الطلب ما يلي:
- الاسم الكامل.
- الدولة والمدينة التي يقيم فيها.
- البريد الإلكتروني ورقم الهاتف.
- صورة شخصية حديثة.
- نبذة مختصرة عن المرشح.
- بيان يوضح دوافع الترشح.
- نبذة عن الخبرات المهنية وخدمة المجتمع.
- إقرار يؤكد استيفاء شروط الأهلية المنصوص عليها في النظام الداخلي للبرلمان الآشوري.
ويحق للجنة الانتخابات طلب أي معلومات أو وثائق إضافية عند الحاجة للتحقق من استيفاء شروط الأهلية.
