On behalf of “The Supreme Body for Establishing the Parliament of the Land of Assyria”

Honorable participants, dear brothers and sisters,

It is with great respect and humility that we stand before you today at this historic conference in Yerevan – Armenia, a city and a land that has itself borne the scars of struggles for justice and existence.

First and foremost, we would like to congratulate you all on the establishment of the Assyrian International Council (AIC). The election of the AIC in a democratic and global manner is proof that the Assyrian people, despite their geographical dispersion, remain united in their hope for freedom, justice, and self-determination.

We, the Supreme Body for Establishing the Parliament of the Land of Assyria, are proud to participate in this significant event. We see your efforts as a strong pillar in the foundation of our shared future.

Our mission to establish a globally elected Parliament of the Land of Assyria shares the same spirit as your work: the belief that it is through the will of the Assyrian people, through democracy and unity, that we can secure the survival and advancement of the Assyrian people for generations to come.

I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that in September 2025, we will hold a major conference in Sweden, where we will take the next step in establishing the Parliament of the Land of Assyria. This conference will be a historic moment where we can, together, make decisions regarding the creation of a democratically elected parliament that will represent all Assyrians worldwide. We encourage you all to participate and support this crucial milestone in our shared journey.

Today, as Assyrians, we send a clear message to the whole world:

We are here. We exist. We are united. And we will, by ourselves, shape our Assyrian destiny as a free nation.

We look forward to working with the Assyrian International Council and all Assyrian organizations to build a strong, democratic future for our Assyrian people — a future where no Assyrian voice is forgotten and where our right to freedom, land, and identity remains inviolable.

Thank you for your courage, your vision, and your dedication to one of the oldest nations — the Assyrian nation.
