In the eternal memory of the martyrs of our Assyrian people and our glorious nation, we stand today, the seventh of August, in honor and respect for the souls of those who sacrificed for survival, sacrificed for justice, sacrificed so that the flag of Assyria would be hoisted above the sky of Semeleh, Suriya, Hakkari, Tur-Abdin, Nineveh, Khabur and every inch of the land of Assyria. These heroes are the sons of Ashurbanipal, Sargon, and Sennacherib, sons of a people who gave humanity culture, science and faith.

On this great day, we bow to the memory of the martyrs of our Assyrian nation, and we derive from them our strength to walk with strength and determination in their path that they enlightened us, and to advance towards realizing the aspirations of our indigenous Assyrian people in obtaining their rights on the holy land of Assyria, the land of our ancestors on which their blood shed and irrigated the land for thousands of years. It is the day of victory in which lessons were given in sacrifice and the struggle for truth.

And today, too, the first anniversary of the birth of the new hope passes us by continuing the great national action by establishing The Supreme Body for Establishing the Parliament of the Land of Assyria, which works in the countries of expatriation and on the land of Assyria in order to establish a legitimate collective leadership stemming from the heart of the Assyrian nation and to be the legitimate representative and official spokesperson of the Assyrian people in international forums. The legitimate leadership that has been awaited since the fall of Nineveh into the hands of the enemies of civilization, science and humanity.

 And because history is a witness to the culture and civilization of our Assyrian people and its progress in all fields for thousands of years, so we in The Supreme Body for Establishing the Parliament of the Land of Assyria believe that the people of Assyria are able to stand up to challenges again, and are able to establish a democratic collective leadership, that will be their official spokesperson in international forums by diplomatic and democratic methods to defend their national rights.

Hence, on this great day, we appeal to all our organizations and the Assyrian people and invite them to work collectively in The Supreme Body for Establishing the Parliament of the Land of Assyria so that we can participate together in this great achievement and have one voice in the leadership of one legitimate democracy represented in the Parliament of the Land of Assyria and thus we have honored our righteous martyrs, those who sacrificed for us and for our legitimate rights in the holy land of Assyria.
