We, the\nrepresentatives of the Assyrian people, gathered and elected from across the\nworld at this historic international conference, do solemnly declare the\nestablishment of the Assyrian Parliament<\/b> as the unified voice of our\nnation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

This\nParliament stands as a beacon of hope for our people, dispersed across many\nlands, yet bound together by a shared identity, heritage, and destiny.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

For\ncenturies, the Assyrian nation has endured persecution, forcible displacement,\nand systematic attempts to erase our presence. Today, these injustices persist\nin our ancestral homeland, where our people continue to face ongoing\ndispossession, marginalization, and denial of their rights. Despite such\noppression, our resilience and faith have enabled us to preserve\u2014and continue\nto preserve\u2014our language, culture, and traditions against all odds. It is\ntherefore our solemn duty, as representatives of the Assyrian people, to ensure\nthat this Parliament stands as the necessary and rightful response to these\nongoing injustices, guaranteeing that the voice of our nation is heard,\nrespected, and upheld.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

By\nadopting our bylaws and electing the first members of the Assyrian Parliament,\nwe take a decisive step toward safeguarding our national rights, preserving our\nheritage, and striving for a future rooted in dignity, justice, and\nself-determination.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The\nAssyrian Parliament is dedicated to:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>

  • Representing the collective voice and\n aspirations of the Assyrian people worldwide.<\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Defending the political, cultural, and human\n rights of our nation in our ancestral homeland and in the diaspora.<\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Preserving and revitalizing the Assyrian\n language, history, and cultural identity.<\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Promoting unity, democracy, and cooperation\n among Assyrians of all backgrounds.<\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Building partnerships with governments,\n international organizations, and civil society to advance peace, justice,\n and recognition of the Assyrian nation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>

     <\/span><\/p>

    We affirm\nthat the establishment of the Assyrian Parliament is not merely an\ninstitutional step but a moral duty to our martyrs, our ancestors, and to\nfuture generations of Assyrians who deserve to live in freedom, dignity, and\nsecurity.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

    \nRecognition is accorded to the host organization, whose leadership and\ncommitment enabled the convening of this historic conference. Appreciation is\nalso expressed to the religious and governmental representatives whose presence\nand support strengthened this assembly: Rev. Yatron Giliana, representing His\nGrace Mar Odisho Oraham, Bishop of Germany and Scandinavia for the Assyrian\nChurch of the East, for his presence and blessing; Archbishop Mor Yuhanon Lahdo\nof the Syriac Orthodox Church in Sweden and Scandinavia, for his gracious\nmessage of support; and the Swedish Government officials at the official\nopening, whose participation affirmed their commitment to democracy, cultural\ndiversity, and the rights of indigenous peoples. Further acknowledgment is extended\nto the many supporters, volunteers, and community members whose contributions\nensured the successful completion of this founding assembly.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

    This\nDeclaration is a call to every Assyrian\u2014wherever they may live\u2014to stand united\nunder the banner of the Assyrian Parliament. It is also an invitation to all\npeoples and nations of goodwill to join us in upholding truth, justice, and the\nsurvival of one of the world\u2019s most ancient nations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

    Together,\nwe pledge to serve our people with transparency, unity, and courage, ensuring\nthat the Assyrian voice is heard, respected, and recognized on the global\nstage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
